South Coast Sailing Adventures was founded in 1993 and was originally named Gateway Charters and Sailing School. We have been in business for more than 20 years. Our mission is to teach and bring new and exciting adventures to both new and old sailors. Our sailing school goes by the American Sailing Association standards, therefore our school teaches to the highest standard of certified sailing schools.
Our Sailing School is an American Sailing Association (ASA) Certified Training Facility, and our instructors are all highly experienced Offshore and Bay Sailors with backgrounds in cruising and racing. All are ASA certified instructors and United States Coast Guard licensed Captains as well. South Coast Sailing School earned "ASA Outstanding School for 2006."
We provide both crewed and bareboat charters from 1/2 half day to full week and longer durations. Our crewed excursions are captained by United States Coast Guard licensed officers, and all of our boats are maintained in first class condition.
The Galveston Bay Area provides consistently good air to sail in with a lot to do and see on both sea and land. Our location at the Seabrook Marina provides a great base of operations for fun for the family and plenty of nightlife as well.
The South Coast Sailing Club has just recently been formed and we are very excited about the opportunity to provide this forum for our members. We welcome anyone who has an interest in sailing and the sailing lifestyle to join the club. Whether you are a world-class sailor or someone just looking to check out what all the excitement is about, we have a spot for you.
Bring your team to us for some excitement on the water, and they are guaranteed to grow closer to each other. We offer a variety of team-building programs: fun getaways from the office to reward hard work/project completion and to promote bonding within the group; "Treasure Hunts" to develop group problem solving skills; and competitive "Regattas" with multiple boats focusing on teamwork.
We look forward to having you join us at our classroom facility and on the water in our wide array of sailing vessels.
